Roman Day

Join us for a fun and educational afternoon filled with activities to learn about Romans on Saturday 16th August from 12pm – 4pm, at the Bancroft Roman Villa in North Loughton Valley Park.

Experience the authentic Roman lifestyle by interacting with a genuine Roman Lady and a Roman soldier. Join the Roman Army and earn "recruitment coins" upon enlisting in the legion!

Travel back in time to learn about the history of the Roman site by taking a guided tour around the Roman Villa remains. Take part in themed crafts and activities and have a go at building your own fort and knocking it down with our hand built Roman Catapult.

This event is designed for families and children, and remember, children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
