RaRa has known that she wanted to be a pop star since she was just four years old. The Cheltenham-raised artist grew up dreaming of emulating the successes of powerhouses like Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera, and is now crafting stirring tracks about her own personal experiences and feelings that are showcasing her own vast potential as an artist.
Despite her roots in the UK, RaRa’s sound emulates a feeling of Southern USA, packed full of soul and often incorporating things like backing singers and gospel influences to create this atmospheric feel that transports you from wherever you are to favourite recording spots of the artist like Nashville and Memphis.
Having had a storied, rollercoaster career that has spanned TV appearances, releasing covers, media interest, and a range of life experiences and connections with artists and producers, RaRa is looking to find some consistency in releasing her music and taking that step to the next level. She has the stories to tell, and the foundations set in place, and the sky looks set to be the limit for an artist who’s drive, determination and raw talent has seen her open a plethora of doors throughout her journey, having songs featured on BBC 1, London Live, GB News and Talk TV, as well as performing at the BBC Show business awards on a star-studded line-up including artists like Beverley Knight, Gary Barlow and Katherine Jenkins.
Now, having recorded the best part of a debut album, she’s looking forward to her upcoming live performances, finally performing her own music on her terms. RaRa is currently working with Grammy winning record producer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Lawrence ‘Boo’ Mitchell (Bruno Mars ‘Uptown Funk’), the son of the legendary record producer Willie Mitchell at world famous ‘Royal Studios’ in Memphis, Tennessee.
