Discover how to make the music your partner. In this focused three hour session, Ekow and Tash will help you move with the music, hear accents, phrasing, and breaks so your West Coast Swing feels effortless and connected. No gimmicks, just practical tools to sharpen your musical instincts.
𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:
𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: Learn to identify rhythms, and anticipate changes without relying on counting out loud.
𝗕𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗗𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰𝘀: Refine weight shifts and isolations so your movement mirrors the musical energy.
𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Practice leading and following cues that align with real time musical changes.
After the dinner break, join us on the dance floor from 8pm to apply what you’ve learned to some great music from Kevin and Ekow.
