Author Talk with Mason Pratt: On the Knife Edge

Join us for an Author Talk and book signing with Maine author Mason Pratt, who will discuss his newest novel On the Knife Edge.
Pratt is a retired attorney and former intelligence officer who practiced law for nearly five decades with Maine’s largest law firm after graduating from Bowdoin College and Harvard Law School. A member of the Maine Writers’ and Publishers’ Alliance, his writing is inspired by his real-life experiences in Maine and the North Woods.
On the Knife Edge is a Maine North Woods spy thriller inspired by the El Faro maritime tragedy, the worst U.S. maritime disaster since the Edmund Fitzgerald. The novel follows Melanie, a ship’s officer, and her former love Jack, now a rogue CIA assassin, as their lives collide in a deadly storm at sea and later on Mount Katahdin’s “Knife Edge.” Blending maritime peril, espionage, and Maine wilderness, the story weaves together survival, obsession, and suspense.
