“Watercolor for Beginners" (Session II) w/ Chris Pettman

The MAAA is pleased to welcome Chris Pettman once again as she leads you in a creative and relaxing beginner watercolor class, session two.

To start, you will be given a watercolor starter kit consisting of a large paint pallet, a brush set and watercolor paper to paint on. If you already have your kit from session one, bring it along and Chris will provide additional watercolor tools to add to your kit.

Chris will go over some fundamental watercolor concepts to get you started, whether this is your first session or second session.

Session two will concentrate on easy landscape paintings, all while learning different techniques and using different tools. Paint a few landscapes, then pick your best one and place it in a black frame. Your unique work of art can be hung on a wall or stood on a countertop. You might want to even give it to someone special!

Chris’s session one sold out, and by request she will be offering additional sessions building watercolor skills as you go. Join in the fun any time as each session will include new and fun watercolor techniques.

If this is the first time attending Chris’s watercolor sessions, you will receive supplies needed to continue your journey at home. If you have attended a prior session, bring along your watercolor pallet of paint, and supplies, and she will provide additional tools each session to build your painting kit. Who knows, this might become your new passion!

Ages 12+ are welcome. The deadline to register Sept 22nd.
