"On the Porch" w/ Ellie Michael

The Millersburg Area Art Association is pleased to welcome back Ellie Michael for her third visit "On The Porch" at the Gallery on Saturday, August 9th.

At just 12 years old, Ellie has been a student member of the MAAA for the past five years. When she's not doing school work or participating in basektball and soccer, you'll find Ellie sketching, painting, or crocheting adorable stuffed animals!

Ellie has been honing her skills under the guidance of Mechanicsburg artist Debra Kreiger for the past 4 years. She has also worked with Tanya Haller, and in the past has taken various classes and camps at the Gallery.

In 2022, Ellie placed 2nd in her grade category in the Ned Smith Center Youth Art Contest with her entry, "Humming at the Honeysuckle". In 2024 she was awarded an Honorable Mention for her entry, “Curious Creatures”.

While "On the Porch", Ellie will be working on a new project, and her artwork and crafts – including unique greeting cards, stickers, and crocheted friends – will be on display and available for purchase.

Be sure to stop by the Gallery on the Square between 10 am and 2 pm and meet this talented young lady and support her creative endeavors. She looks forward to meeting you!
