This October, step into a world of shadowy folklore and unraveling truths with A Study in Drowning by Ava Reid: a spellbinding dark academia fantasy, where haunted houses, ancient legends, and secret histories unfold against a stormy, sea-swept backdrop.
Effy Sayre, a literature-obsessed architecture student, is sent to redesign the crumbling estate of her favorite (and long-dead) author. But what begins as a dream assignment quickly descends into something darker.

📍 Where: Parker Binns Vineyard. If weather good, we’ll be out on the lawn. Unless more than five of us rsvp, no reservation needed.
⏰ Time: 1:30–3:00 PM
Arrive early if you’d like to grab a drink or food! The coffee shop offers coffee & pastries, plus the market also has snacks & drinks, and you can order from the bar & grill across the street.
📚 Discussion is relaxed, welcoming, and a little magical. We meet bi-monthly and keep things flexible as we build our circle of fantasy readers.
