Taste of the Land: A Foraged & Farmed Dinner at Long Branch Farm & Trails

Drawing on culinary inspiration from around the globe and throughout time, you’ll experience the story of the land through food. Part cooking demo infused with natural history, part farm tour spiced with storytelling…it’s one big celebration of native plants!

From history of land use, to our current work, to the vision for the future of Long Branch Farm & Trails, you’ll be able to taste how we work with the land to create hyper-local foraged, wild tended, and farmed native foods. This experience includes a walking tour of our native perennial polyculture plots.

What to Expect: This is a cooking station-based progressive meal experience. Participants will be able to make the rounds, sampling food bites, talk with staff and volunteers about the purpose, methods, and goals of our foraging and farming of native species efforts, and have the opportunity to get to know other participants. For those interested, there will be some optional activities involving harvesting, food prep, etc.

Preregistration required. Member adult $75; nonmember adult $87. Includes daily admission.
