📚 Right to Read Night 📚
Books change lives. They open doors, spark conversations, and give every voice a chance to be heard. But across the country, more books are being banned and challenged than ever before—especially those written by and about people of color and the LGBTQ+ community.
Igniting Connection is hosting a FREE gathering for Right to Read Night at The Bookmatters on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 6:00–7:30 PM. Together, we’ll explore the powerful story Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson, and celebrate the freedom to read.

📚 Conversations about why banned books matter
📚 A chance to connect with others who believe in protecting the power of stories
📚 Vegetarian light bites, beverages, community, and inspiration!
Due to space, seats are limited to 30—and they’ll go fast! The book will be available for local pick-up and can be ordered through The Bookmatters starting 08/26/25.
