Ready to take your cold process soap skills to the next level? This advanced, hands-on swirling class is designed for soap makers who are already comfortable making their own batches of cold process soap and want to confidently dive into the colorful world of swirling and design.
Each student will create their own full batch of cold process soap using three coordinated colors, giving you real, hands-on experience with color blending and swirl placement. You’ll also receive a reusable silicone soap mold to take home, so you can keep practicing long after class ends.
We’ll cover the key differences between soap colorants—including micas, lakes, oxides, and natural vegetable colorants—and how each behaves in cold process soap. You’ll learn when to use each type, how to properly disperse them, and what can go wrong (and how to fix it) when colors morph, bleed, or fade.
Multiple swirling techniques and patterns will be demonstrated and discussed in detail, along with guidance on choosing color combinations that work beautifully together. You’ll see plenty of real examples and gain the confidence to design intentional, eye-catching soaps instead of leaving your swirls up to chance.
You’ll leave class with:
A hands-on batch of cold process soap made by you
Experience working with three soap colorants
A reusable silicone soap mold
A deeper understanding of color behavior and swirl design
The confidence to create bold, beautiful, professional-looking swirl soaps
This class is perfect for hobbyists and small-business soap makers ready to level up their design skills.
