The Heartland Conference Family Float Trip is an event designed for the entire family. We can arrive beginning at 4:00 pm on Thursday July 31st at Arrowhead Resort which is located at 7704 OK-10, Tahlequah, OK 74464. On Thursday evening we will have dinner together at approximately 6:30 pm (this meal is provided with your registration fee). There will be a place to get in the river, as well as other activities (basketball, volleyball, ….) We will have a time of worship and devotion after dark. On Friday morning we will have breakfast together (also provided) and then we will float the river as a group (a sack lunch will be provided to eat lunch on the river). We will provide enough drinks for everyone to have 2 on Thursday, 1 for breakfast, and at least one as we float the river, if you would like additional drinks feel free to bring your own in a small ice chest. We will have 6-man rafts unless you request otherwise – if you desire to have a single or double kayak we need to know when you register and there will be an additional fee. Generally, we float together for the first portion of the trip and then have lunch, and for the final portion you are welcome to float at your own pace. We do not gather again at the end, so you are welcome to leave as your group comes off the river. We will check out of our cabins before we check in to float, but Arrowhead does provide key storage for us while on the river so you will not have to keep track of your keys or risk losing them in the river. There are bath houses as you come off the river if you or your group would like to change before hitting the road. The price per person is $55.00 and includes lodging (bring your own bedding, towels, and toiletries), dinner Thursday evening, breakfast Friday morning, lunch Friday, and the float itself.
