Dear Gents,
Summertime, 🎶 Summertime, 🎼 Sum, 🎵 Sum, 🎵Summertime. 🎶. Yes, it’s summertime, and to celebrate, we’re going to pay homage to summertime!
We’re going to an establishment where the cows, pigs, and poultry bask in barbecue sauce. Yes, on Wednesday, August 13 at 11:30 AM we will gather at Summers Smokehouse, located at 9330 West Tennessee Street. This is quite a ways out on US 90 and is located on the right immediately before reaching the Ochlockonee River. Yes, it’s quite a drive, but it has excellent reviews and was highly touted at our last luncheon.
Obviously, if you happen to cross the river you’ve gone too far! And looking at the map, it may be easier and quicker for some people to go out Interstate 10, get off the exit for US 90 (Exit # 192 we think) and double back on US 90 to the east where the restaurant will be just past the river on your left. HOWEVER, if you take that route you don’t want to miss the exit when you’re driving west on Interstate 10 on the way to the restaurant. Since we’re not 100% sure of that exit number, use caution! ⚠️
We hope to see you there and that everyone arrives safely and (relatively) on time. After all, the cows, pigs and poultry, will be awaiting your arrival so don’t disappoint them.
Bon appétit and maybe bring a bib!
