Florida’s black bears are once again under threat. The Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission (FWC) is proposing extremely dangerous changes to the 2025 bear hunt, including:
🐾 Use of dogs, arrows, and bait
🚫 Eliminating public oversight and hunt check stations
🔫 Allowing up to 10 people to fire at a bear at once
This is an outrageous rollback of wildlife protections and a dangerous step away from public transparency. We must show up, speak out, and demand better for Florida’s black bears.
