Begin the New Year at Fort Morris with a guided hike through one of Georgia’s most storied Revolutionary War sites. Explore the earthworks that once guarded the Medway River, hear the stories of soldiers who defended Sunbury, and take in beautiful coastal views as you walk the grounds of this important early American fort. Don't miss a musket firing!
This hike is part of the Hike Through History Challenge, a series of special programs at five coastal historic sites including Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation, Fort King George, Fort Morris, Fort McAllister, and Wormsloe. Each site offers unique activities and prizes. Participants who visit all five locations will be invited to a celebration at Wormsloe State Historic Site.
Registration is required and the deadline is December 20.
