🐴 Hi there Fellow Equine Professionals and prospective students! 🐴
I’m Molly Cole, owner and instructor at Cole Acres Farm, a western riding program that recently relocated to Midlothian, Texas from the Austin area due to a change in my husbands’s job.
In my years teaching in Central Texas, my primary role has been building a solid foundation for young and beginner riders—emphasizing safety, confidence, horsemanship, and respect for the horse. I’ve worked closely with competitive trainers to help prepare students who are ready to take the next step into show barns, performance programs, and more intensive training.
I truly believe in the value of a strong pipeline between beginner-focused barns and advanced programs. Not every family is ready to jump into a competitive training schedule, but when riders have the right early experiences, they transition smoothly—and successfully—into higher-level programs. It’s a win-win for everyone: students show up prepared, and trainers can focus on refining skills, not starting from square one.
We’ve just opened our new facility here in Midlothian, and I’d love to connect with other professionals in the area. You’re warmly invited to our Open Barn Event on August 2 to tour the facility, meet the horses (and me!), and network with fellow horse folks. I’d love to learn how we might support one another and help grow the riding community here.
Please feel free to message me if you’d like to connect ahead of time. I look forward to meeting you!
Pics below just so our post doesn’t get lost. One of my students started a filly for the Ft Worth Mustang show last year and it was such a rewarding experience for all! So bonus if there’s fellow Mustang enthusiasts in this group 😊
