Join us for a dynamic adventure camp, located about an hour north of Toronto, at Sugar Valley Farm, where we will be developing paddle skills and then putting those skills to the test on beautiful McCrae Lake.
Open to teens and adults, this adventure program will give you a taste of the outdoors, building diabetes management skills, and friendships along the way. Experience is not required, but a general willingness to learn and try new things will ensure success!

About Us: ICD is a leader in exercise and diabetes, hosting thousands of type ones in everything from a fun day of sport to week-long camps and extreme challenges. We focus on how to manage diabetes effectively in the midst of real life challenges and use active programs to bring strategies to life. Support: Come out and feel the support from others who understand what you are going through and will share in this learning experience. Learn something about yourself and connect with other T1Ds who understand the ins and outs of diabetes management. This is a great opportunity to take in picturesque views and discover what you can accomplish with the right support.
We can accommodate all manners of food allergy, celiac disease and many other challenges (physical and mental), so don’t be afraid to reach out and talk with our leadership team to develop a plan for an experience of a lifetime!
Diabetes Management: We will meet you where you are at and support you to be your best! So don’t think your blood sugars couldn’t stand up to such an extreme challenge – our guides are experts, experienced and excited to support you on this journey.
Gear: We are able to support additional needs for backpacks, high-end sleeping bags and head lamps upon request but proper hiking shoes/boots, rain jacket, athletic wear are required. Please reach out so we can help you be prepared for this adventure. Registered participants will receive a detailed packing list and more detailed directions closer to the event.
Cost: All tickets include camping permits as needed, all food and snacks, tents, camp kitchen, backcountry safety equipment, and ICD leadership. Please choose the ticket that works best for you.
