Art Lessons Reimagined!!
What can we create when given the opportunity to truly explore and discover? When making a mess is the least of our worries, and even encouraged!? When we can actually just PLAY!?
This unique workshop allows kids to explore and discover the wonders and possibilities of paint at their own pace, no right or wrong. Let's see what happens!!
It definitely falls into the realm of 'messy play'.
If you want to get fancy you can call it 'Abstract Expressionism'... whatever that really means.
All I know is that we will have a great time investigating different techniques and tools to create wonderful works of art!
Over 2 hours we will...
- Use different tools and everyday items because paint brushes are boring!
- See what happens when using thick versus runny paint.
- Mix colours to our heart's content, mwahaha!
- Create a unique A2 sized final abstract piece, applying all the
things we discover along the way!!
- Throw, flick, squirt, dab, roll, drip, splat and so much more!!

- 2 hour workshop
- Wear old clothes- they WILL get paint on them. Art smocks available if needed.
- 6-9yrs- 10am- 12pm
-10yrs&up- 2pm-4pm
- Only 8 places available
- Inclusive event- get in touch regarding sensory preferences and other needs!
*The kids need to be able to participate without a parent by their side. This is a 'drop and run' activity. If you would prefer to stay, there will be space for you to sit and observe from a distance, make a cup of tea or even go for a cheeky bushwalk through the adjoining national park while we create. I do encourage parents to move away once the kids are settled, so they can truly immerse themselves.
