Night Walk

Why walk at night?

Too many long, cold, dark nights are spent indoors, when it’s perfectly possible to be outside enjoying the stillness. Why not step outside of your comfort zone this winter and join us for a short night walk. It’s an incredible opportunity to experience the night in a new way, reconnect with the natural world, and marvel at both the wonders around and above us.

This walk is a slow, immersive sensory experience. With our dominant sense of sight diminished, we’ll rely on our ears, noses, skin and feet to explore the evening soundscape, night-time smells, and the subtle textures of the landscape. At the same time, we’ll take in the celestial majesty of the night sky, spotting major winter constellations and reflecting on our place within the vastness of the universe.

• This will be a small group walk (no more than 10 people)
• No dogs please…….or waterproof trousers (their rustling spoils the peace & quiet)
• Walking sticks/poles encouraged
