Join us at N.E.W. Ales Brewing for a monthly dog training group class led by Reil Becker. These fun and educational sessions will be held the first Sunday of each month starting at 10:30 am, prior to the brewery opening for the day.
Each session will run for approximately 60 minutes, (weather permitting), and will focus on sustainable training methods to help you and your dog improve communication and your relationship. The training will be balanced, practical, and pressure-free, with a focus on dog and handler safety. Whether you’re bringing your personal dog or working with a rescue to get an adoptable dog some socialization and education, everyone is welcome. No judgement, just growth.
What to bring:
-A 6’ fixed-length leash and flat collar (no retractable leashes and no harnesses)
-Any training collar or other tools you currently use – no tool shaming here!
-High value treats like hot dogs or string cheese
-Water for you and your dog
We will be using Sign Up Genius to manage RSVPs. Stay tuned for the link in the event discussion. Each session will be capped at 20 dogs for safety and space reasons, so sign up today to ensure a spot for you and your dog to spend some quality time together while you both learn new things!
Please note, one dog per adult per session. No person under 18 will be handling dogs without prior screening by either the trainer or a member from N.E.W. Ales team of doggie experts. In group sessions, dogs will not be allowed to have physical contact with other dogs or people during the lesson. If participants wish to allow their dog to participate in group play after the session, they may do so at their own risk, away from the other dogs. If a dog is working through reactivity issues, they are still welcome, but we request that you contact the trainer directly prior to arrival to ensure there are not any additional steps that need to be taken to ensure everyone’s safety. All dogs are required to be up to date on their vaccine series to ensure safety for everyone on site. Intact dogs and dogs in season are welcome, but we request that if your dog is in season, she wears a diaper to help mitigate the distraction of other dogs.
