DH4 #1630 Hops in the Hanger Hash (Run/Walk)

Across from the Middletown Regional Airport Hanger (Hops in the Hanger Event)
We'll meet in the parking lot just southeast of the skateboard park, which is also just south of the hanger building where the beer tasting will take place.
IMPORTANT: Run Way Road is one-way. So, you'll probably break the law like I do, and wait for no traffic before going fifty-feet in the wrong direction to get into the parking lot. The alternative is to drive around the whole park and lake before reaching the parking lot.
Cost: $6 for beer drinking; otherwise, $4. Free for first time hashers!

Hash Trail: This is sooo much fun! First, we go on a short hash trail and right after a circle we'll attend the "Hash in the Hanger" beer tasting and arial show event. It's pretty surreal at night when they turn up the dance music as the glowing hot air-balloons take off the runway. And of course, many of us will be volunteering like previous years to pour beer for the paying guest. And for our hard work we are rewarded with free beer and food! 😋 Life is good!
See below on how to volunteer with the DH4 group. You can also purchase your own ticket for the event. Or you can just attend the hash and not worry about going to the festival. Many options here.
Ok, so what about the hash trail? Well, the hare is under strict guidance to keep the trail short...or else! 😲 So, to keep the hare's manhood intact, the trail will be less than 3-miles. It will be mostly urban trail around the Middletown area.
Hashing in General: This is a fun run or hike where you will follow a trail of flour not knowing exactly where it will lead. One or more beer/water stops along the way! In hashing you'll will be running/walking as part of a group. The faster runners will be out ahead looking for flour marks on the ground trying to figure out which way the trail route goes. Sometimes they go the wrong way which allows the slow runners/walkers to catch up and even get ahead. This allows everyone to go at their own pace and stay together as a group.
Dogs: Allowed on leash during trail and circle. Not allowed in the festival.
Children: Adults only for first time hashers, since many of us do drink beer. 😋 Note: This is for trail only. No one is allowed under-21 to attend the beer drinking festival.
On-After: Hops in the Hangar beer tasting event in the aircraft hangar building just north of the parking lot. The event starts at 4 pm for VIP and 5pm for General admission. Volunteers will be asked to show up one hour earlier at 3 pm. It runs until 9 pm. This is a very fun event which also includes an airshow. Many of us are volunteering!

The Volunteer Meeting will be held on Monday, August 18th at 6:30pm in the big blue "Jets" Hangar at the Airport.
