A Christmas Carol

Russell Library presents A Christmas Carol, performed by the East Haddam Stage Company in the library's historic Reading Room.

Celebrate the season by spending an enchanting evening with Ebenezer Scrooge and the Christmas Ghosts that help him find the meaning of the holiday.

This adaptation is a traditional retelling of Charles’ Dickens beloved Christmas classic. Described as “magical and ethereal” by the play’s director, Kandie Carle, this Victorian ghost story is perfect for our Victorian building. Written specifically to be performed in Russell Library, the play takes advantage of the balconies and ramps and multiple entry and exit points to bring actors in from all around the audience. You never know where a ghost will appear!

This show will run Saturdays and Sundays, November 29th - December 21st. Tickets for this library fundraiser are $50. Tickets will only be sold online. There are 80 seats per show and all shows start at 7pm.

The lobby will open at 6pm. The show begins at 7pm. For the safety of the actors, latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the lobby manager.

All sales are final. No refunds. Tickets may not be exchanged for another date. Every person entering the theater must have a ticket regardless of age.

Since 2002, the East Haddam Stage Company (EHSCO) has been a forum for established and new works from across the country as well as CT playwrights and poets.

EHSCO is a professional company using diverse, CT based creative staff and talent. Productions are mounted in venues throughout New England and beyond. Their goal is to offer the public an intriguing, thoughtful, and provocative theatrical experience.
