WE SHALL BE is a creative programme shaped by people and place. It brings together artists, communities and organisations to explore Middlesbrough’s identity, past and present - to inform a series of artworks in the Historic Quarter that will improve its look and feel.
Led by Navigator North, the programme includes artist commissions, events and collaborative workshops across the town - all rooted in local stories, civic pride and a shared belief in what Middlesbrough can be.
As part of this, we’re hosting a Community Action Day on Sunday September 14th focused on the area around Middlesbrough Railway Station - a gateway into the town that many people use, but needs some TLC. The day will involve practical work to improve the look and feel of the space with cleaning, painting and small repairs - with tasks identified by local people and partners.
We’re inviting individuals, businesses, groups and organisations to get involved - whether for an hour or the full day. It’s a chance to take collective care of the town, meet others, and contribute to a programme that’s all about local pride and action.
If you’re interested, please fill out this short form by Wednesday 27th August:
