Lane to the Glen reunites Tyneside audiences with renowned fiddler Oisín Mac Diarmada, who previously performed at the festival with his band Téada. This time, he’s joined by master accordionist Daithí Gormley, pianist and dancer Samantha Harvey, and acclaimed guitarist Patrick Doocey. Together, this exceptional quartet brings the rich musical heritage of Sligo to life, blending fiddle, accordion, piano, guitar, and dance in a vibrant celebration of Irish tradition. Drawing from the Fiddlers of Sligo Tunebook and beyond, they offer an evening of timeless tunes, rhythm, and storytelling that connects past and present with warmth and flair.
We’re delighted to bring Lane to the Glen to Teesside in partnership with the Teesside Irish Society. This special evening at The Dorman’s Club offers Teesside audiences the chance to experience world-class traditional music and dance from a quartet of outstanding performers.
