Michigan City Beach Weekend Fly-In

Welcome to the Michigan City Beach Weekend Fly-In!

Come join us at the Michigan City Municipal Airport - Phillips Field for a fun-filled weekend to kick your summer off right, sponsored by the Michigan City Aviators.

THIS is a fly-in for the whole family. With a beautiful beach and lots of fun activities, you are guaranteed* to have a good time.

Camping will be allowed in the grass, with the restrooms and showers available in the nearby terminal building. This would be a great place to test out your Airventure setup.

Hotel rooms will also be available nearby, if you want to enjoy the weekend but are not up for camping.

Flyers can arrive and start setting up camp any time after noon on Friday, and the event ends Sunday at 5PM.

On Friday evening, our members will provide a dinner, including chili, hamburgers and/or hot dogs, and others surprises.

Saturday and Sunday morning we will provide coffee and donuts/bagels to get the day started.

Lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday are on your own, and there are lots of great options around town - we will be happy to make suggestions for you.

Transportation options will be available to get you to beach, or around town.

Participants go anywhere they want for the weekend, but some great activities include:

• Hiking at Indiana Dunes National Park
• Skydiving (on the field)
• Washington Park Zoo
• Zorn Brewery and Restaurant
• Burn 'em Brewing

• Downtown Michigan City shops and restaurants
  

Pricing for the event is $50 per aircraft for the weekend. There are no additional landing, parking or facility fees.

The Michigan City Aviators (MCA)is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that uses aviation to promote interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) among community members, to educate members and the public on aviation and aviation safety, and to help and encourage students to study topics related to aviation and STEM.

Any donations, and any funds remaining after this event will go into the MCA general fund to be used for organizational and charitable expenses.
