Integrated Approach to the Lumbar Spine & Pelvis in Elite Performance

This hands on, interactive course is designed for physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, and other sports medicine professionals. It focuses on an integrated approach to assessing and treating the lumbar spine, SIJ, and pelvis along the continuum from rehabilitation to elite performance. Various manual therapy techniques are presented in a practical system that encorporates exercise progression from the clinic, to the weight room, and on to the the court or field.

Course Description:

A practical system is presented integrating Muscle Energy Techniques, Osteopathic Manual Therapy, Joint Mobilization/Manipulation. Other manual techniques (McKenzie, Mulligan, and Maitland) are incorporated into the rehabilitation plan and application of the functional and corrective exercises prescription as an adjunct to manual therapy is presented.

These concepts are applied directly to exercise programming and the performance plan integrating principles of muscle performance, strengthening & conditioning, and the ability to generate and absorb force during elite sport.
