Twilight @ Patch - Full Moon Forest Bath

By popular demand, we’re bringing back one of our community’s most beloved special events!

Saturday, June 14th @7: 30pm, come enjoy the full moon at Patch.

The full moon in June is traditionally called the Strawberry Moon. This name comes from the Algonquin tribes of Native Americans, who used this full moon as a signal to harvest the ripening strawberries in June.

We are innovating at the Speed Of Nature —yet our invitation is for you to slow down to the rhythm of the trees. Let the light of the Full Moon bathe you in its silvery glow.

This moon marks a time of introspection and preparation, a season to gather strength and nurture your inner resources. As you walk into our 123 year old growth forest, on paths that are the least trodden at Patch, deep into the hammock, arriving at the Thai Meditation Joglo, in the velvet of night, for a Candlelight Forest Bath experience, under La Luna Llena.

Hosted by Suzanne Jewell, our Chief Experience Officer, Patch of Heaven Sanctuary Founder of the Mindful Pocket Park @Patch, certified mindfulness meditation teacher through the UC Berkeley Greater Good Science Center/Sounds True training, Executive Resilience Coach and Forest Therapy guide.

9:30 pm: MoonWalk to Welcome Center

Ordinarily I go to the woods alone,

with not a single friend,

for they are all smilers and talkers

and therefore unsuitable.

I don’t really want to be witnessed talking to the catbirds

or hugging the old black oak tree.

I have my ways of praying,

as you no doubt have yours.

Besides, when I am alone

I can become invisible.

I can sit on the top of a dune

as motionless as an uprise of weeds,

until the foxes run by unconcerned.

I can hear the almost unhearable sound of the roses singing.

If you have ever gone to the woods with me,

I must love you very much.
