Things Swap @ LnS Gallery

Get your swap on! Need some things? Need to get rid of some things? Join The Things Lab and Miami Time Swap at LnS Gallery in Miami on Saturday, June 21, 2-5pm for our collaborative Things Swap!

Share and connect with others while letting go of those things you have been holding onto. Discover treasures for your own use and keep them out of a landfill. You can also sign up with the Miami Time Swap (our local time-based trade economy) & trade services with other Time Swappers!

Bring no more than 10 gently used items (no clothes) - things that are clean, functional, and ready for a new home! You can also come without things to swap and make a Pay What You Value tax deductible donation to The Things Lab for the “Things Swap” fund for things you take home.

Be kind, respect everyone’s finds, and enjoy the good vibes!

Any leftover items will be donated to a local thrift store. You are also welcome to take your unclaimed donations home with you. That way, nothing goes to waste!

Grounding the exhibition is a magnanimous site-specific installation encapsulating the power of shared narratives, the inherent storytelling capacity of objects, transformation, and the challenge of assumption. For Phillips, making is often a compulsive act—even in the absence of a clear direction. In its entirety, the show is centered on this meditative, labor-intensive processes; it may be an attempt to process grief, make sense of a chaotic world, or restore value to objects deemed broken or obsolete. Coincidence of sound searches within these themes, reaching for a forgotten world resting just at the edge of memory.
