Want to bring your creative visions to life using industrial robots? Whether you're animating a cinematic sequence, designing dynamic camera movements, or exploring new forms of robotic storytelling, this workshop is your gateway to mastering robotic motion control for creative industries.
Join us for a hands-on workshop where you'll learn how to use Animaquina, a powerful Blender addon, to control and animate industrial robots. Throughout this workshop, you'll explore how to program robots to execute precise, repeatable, and dynamic motions, enabling you to create stunning visuals for film, entertainment, and beyond.
Inspired by the fusion of old-school practical effects and cutting-edge robotics, this workshop will guide you through designing, animating, and executing robotic movements for creative applications. You'll work with real-world robotic systems to bring your ideas to life, experimenting with motion control techniques that can be applied to camera rigs, props, dynamic sculptures, and more.
● Introduction to Animaquina: Get familiar with the Blender addon and its capabilities for robotic animation and control.
● Robotic Kinematics: Understand the basics of forward and inverse kinematics for industrial robots.
● Custom Motion Design: Create and animate custom robotic motions for cameras, props, and other creative applications.
● Dynamic Camera Work: Explore advanced techniques for robotic camera control, including smooth tracking, rapid pans, and complex maneuvers.
● Integration with Creative Pipelines: Learn how to integrate robotic motion control into your existing creative workflows for film, animation, and entertainment.
● Practical Applications: Experiment with real-world (or simulated) robotic systems to execute your animations and capture dynamic shots.
Day 1: Foundations of Robotic Animation
● Introduction to Animaquina and Blender.
● Basics of robotic kinematics and motion control.
● Designing simple robotic motions for cameras and props.
Day 2: Advanced Motion Design and Cinematic Techniques
● Creating complex, layered animations for dynamic shots.
● Experimenting with velocity, acceleration, and other robotic parameters.
● Integrating robotic motion with keyframed animation in Blender.
Day 3: Bringing Your Vision to Life
● Finalizing and executing your robotic animations.
● Capturing and refining your cinematic sequences.
● Showcase and discussion of participant projects.
This workshop is designed for creative professionals in industries such as:
● Film and animation
● Camera and cinematography
● Entertainment and live events
● Advertising and visual effects
● Interactive media and installation art
● No prior experience with robotics is required, but a basic understanding of Blender or 3D animation is recommended.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have:
● Hands-on experience with Animaquina and robotic motion control.
● A completed project showcasing your custom robotic animations.
● New skills to integrate robotics into your creative workflows.
● Insights into the future of robotics in creative industries.
Robotics is revolutionizing the way we create and tell stories. Whether you're animating a sci-fi spaceship, designing a dynamic camera rig, or exploring new forms of interactive art, this workshop will equip you with the tools and knowledge to push the boundaries of your creativity.
