Ocean Drive Promenade: La Trova Lírica Cubana

Join us on Ocean Drive on June 8th for a performance featuring La Trova Lírica Cubana as part of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series, a free, weekly concert series presented by the Ocean Drive Association. Pack a picnic blanket or lawn chair to stake out your seat on the lawn. Showtime is at 6:00 PM.

La Trova Lírica Cubana, with a repertoire centered on the rich and diverse tradition of Cuban song from the 19th century to the present day, dedicates this concert to the 115th anniversary of the birth of Rodrigo Prats, one of Cuba’s most prolific composers.

For this tribute, we bring together the most outstanding authors of Cuban lyricism in Havana during the 1950s, the golden era of Maestro Prats and many of his fellow composers.

La T.L.C. has performed in prestigious concert halls, including the Florence Festival in Italy, Our Lady of Good, the Instituto Cervantes, and the Cuban Cultural Center in Manhattan, New York. In Miami, Florida, they have performed at the Centro Cultural Español.

These events (every Sunday!) are free and open to the public-- and will take place in Lummus Park between 14th Street and 14th Place. Rainy-day location is inside The Betsy Hotel!

This program is part of the weekly Promenade Sunday Concert Series generously underwritten by The City of Miami Beach, The GMCVB and The Ocean Drive Association.
