Join us on Ocean Drive on August 17th for a performance featuring the Duck Romero Trio as part of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series, a free, weekly concert series presented by the Ocean Drive Association. Pack a picnic blanket or lawn chair to stake out your seat on the lawn. Showtime is at 6:00 PM.
Arriving in early 2022, Patricio Romero (aka Duck Romero) started a jazz trio—later expanded into a quartet—performing every Tuesday at The Anderson in Little River. These shows quickly became a must‑see in Miami, evolving into a regular cultural hub for artists, musicians, producers, and entrepreneurs. This residency also became the launchpad for many other engagements, including a residency at The Gibson Room and regular appearances at Miami Music Day and the Miami Jazz Festival, among others.
Today, the band features Duck Romero on piano, Sebastián Gavilán on double bass, and Cory Czajkowski on drums. After experimenting with electronic elements, the group has returned to a more traditional jazz approach, focusing on free improvisation over timeless classics.
For The Promenade Concert, the trio will be joined by guest vocalists and brass players to create an even richer musical experience.
These events (every Sunday!) are free and open to the public-- and will take place in Lummus Park between 14th Street and 14th Place. Rainy-day location is inside The Betsy Hotel!
