Twilight and Fire traces an emotional arc from quiet reflection to blazing intensity, brought to life by a stellar ensemble of internationally acclaimed artists. The program opens with the introspective lyricism of Schumann’s Widmung, Brahms’ Im Herbst, and Fanny Mendelssohn’s rarely performed expressive string quartet—setting the tone for an evening of profound Romanticism.
The second half ignites with Schumann’s Piano Quintet in E-flat Major, a bold and passionate masterpiece performed by violinists Maria Ioudenitch and Misha Vitenson, violist Michael Klotz, cellist Jonah Kim, and pianist Marina Radiushina—a powerhouse ensemble hailed for their artistry, virtuosity, and deep musical chemistry.
