Ocean Drive Promenade: Brass Concert

Join us on Ocean Drive on June 15th for a performance featuring the FIU Brass Band as part of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series, a free, weekly concert series presented by the Ocean Drive Association. Pack a picnic blanket or lawn chair to stake out your seat on the lawn. Showtime is at 6:00 PM.

Led by the dynamic guidance of trumpeter Omar Lateef, these talented musicians come together to showcase the timeless allure of jazz music, infused with the vibrant energy of the FIU community.

The FIU Jazz Big Band and University Brass Choir promise an eclectic repertoire that will captivate audiences of all ages. With each performance, they breathe new life into classic standards while also exploring the boundaries of contemporary jazz, pushing the envelope of creativity with every improvisation.

These events (every Sunday!) are free and open to the public-- and will take place in Lummus Park between 14th Street and 14th Place. Rainy-day location is inside The Betsy Hotel!

This program is part of the weekly Promenade Sunday Concert Series generously underwritten by The City of Miami Beach, The GMCVB and The Ocean Drive Association.
