La Poubelle Cabaret with Award Winning Artist, Maya Azucena!

Maya Azucena is an award-winning singer, recording artist and humanitarian known for her versatile, soulful voice. She has toured 40+ countries, collaborated with global artists, and uses her platform to empower women and youth worldwide. Recognized for her power and ability to cross musical genres, Maya is more than just an accomplished artist; she's a cultural ambassador, public speaker, writer and a force for social change. With numerous awards and accolades to her name, Maya's impact resonates far beyond the stage.

Azucena’s vast experience and four-octave vocal range allow her to explore everything from jazz and rock to reggae and hip-hop. Her approach is reminiscent of artists like Chaka Khan, Adele and Freddie Mercury. Maya has what Billboard Magazine describes as “soaring vocals”, what CD Baby calls “deep and soul-bearing” and according to one newspaper in Asia, “has the power to ‘penetrate blocks’ and touch people from different cultural backgrounds.”

Among her acknowledgments are her duet recording with Stephen Marley on Grammy-winning album "Mind Control" and the title track video of her recent solo release, "I Am Enough," which earned 3x winner for “Best Music Video” and “Official Selection” at 17 international film festivals. She brings all of herself to a wonderful evening of stroytelling and music with piano by Rick Leonard.

Doors at La Poubelle open at 7:00p with food and cocktails provided by Silverlake Bistro (Miami New Times: Top Ten Restaurants in Miami Beach.) Additional food & beverage minimum of $25 per person. Show begins at 8:00p.

Our venue has cabaret seating, which means that you and your party may be sharing a table with other guests. Seating is assigned on the night of the show by our Maitre d’.
