Come join us for a unique experience at Basecamp Studio & Gallery! Dive into the world of Wabi-Sabi with Simon Keller of "studio hono" and "cone9colab" as he guides you through a contemporary Japanese Tea Ceremony.

An Invitation for 6 guests to a contemporary Japanese tea tasting, of exquisite organic Matcha, with sweets. $25 pay at door for those 6 who pre-registered. Room for 6 more walk ins who can learn more about the tea ceremony but only as observers. First come first come first serve for observers with $10 donation recommended at the door.

Yuu Zen Raku 悠然楽 (effortless) is a freeform contemporary tea gathering inspired by the enduring Japanese tea ceremony Cha No Yu 茶の湯. It is an invitation to reflect on what matters. In the act of sharing a bowl of tea lies a mindful awareness and tranquility that engages all our senses. The beauty that lies in form follows function, nature, taste & fragrance, and lore are the elements of an offering that in and of itself is spiritual, expressing the essence of its source wabi sabi 詫寂.
