"ALONE TOGETHER" - ART EXHIBITION / BASECAMP STUDIO & GALLERY

Join Basecamp Studio & Gallery owner / artist Robert Diken at his new location for a group art exhibition called "ALONE TOGETHER" featuring artists Linda Vonderschmidt-LaStella, Joseph Castronova, Robert Lach and Robert Diken. This groups work focuses on ceramics, sculpture, photography and paintings of 4 local artists whose work stand-alone, but talk to each other.

Come to the free art exhibition on Friday, April 25 from 6-9PM to meet the artists and also join us on Saturday, April 26 from noon- 6PM for an open house, art market and some musical entertainment.

The Basecamp art exhibition is included as a location in the Garden State Arts Weekend called "Connecting Communities Through the Arts" - a statewide celebration of art in New Jersey sponsored by Manufacturers Village Artists in East Orange NJ. Their mission is to create an inclusive, once-a-year art weekend for all to enjoy. They are proud to be hosting GSAW for a second year and hope to expand to all areas of the state.

​The first edition of Garden State Art Weekend 2024, included 115 participants located in 15 counties across the state from Passaic to Atlantic county. Leading participating institutions included Montclair Art Museum, The Newark Museum of Art, Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, and Hunterdon Art Museum. For our Metuchen and regional art lovers, besides Basecamp, there are several additonal venues participating in the GSAW 2025, including:
