- Entry fee $1.00 all of which goes to prize money.
- All skill levels are welcomed to attend. However, if you have never played and would like to learn, contact me directly so we can provide some instruction and play a game or two before your first public Euchre event.
- Please click "GOING" or "INTERESTED" if you think you will PROBABLY attend. This is not a reservation and walk-ins are welcome! We just need an approximate head count so we know how to set up the room.

Euchre at Mesa Spirit House Rules (updated 11/20/2025)
- Each game consists of exactly 8 hands (everybody deals twice).
- Tournament will end after 6 or 7 games (to be determined)
- We play “stick the dealer”. If all other players pass twice, the dealer MUST name a trump (not the suit turned down).
- If the wrong number of cards are dealt, the hand is dead and the SAME PLAYER redeals.
- If there is an odd number of players (not an even multiple of 4) a player who sits out a game will score 6 points for that game. 6 is the average score for games in previous seasons.
- After each game, the winners move to the next higher-numbered table. The losers stay put with one changing seats.
- Definition: Renege (reneging) - player does not follow the suit led but DID HAVE a card of that suit they SHOULD have played.
- Penalty for reneging: When discovered, the hand is immediately dead and the opposing team gets 2 points unless they were going alone in which case they get 4 points.
- “A card laid": If a player threw a wrong card, they may change it only if nobody else has yet played. Otherwise, it may NOT be changed. If this results in a renege, reneging penalties apply.
- Definition: Table Talk - When a player says something that may be telling their partner about their own hand. This is illegal. However, saying something that does not benefit your own team more than your opponents is acceptable.
- Please do not lick your fingers before you shuffle or deal.
