Big Kid Adventures - McKee Botanical Gardens

Come spend a “Day in May”, in Vero Beach and Sebastian walking through gardens and looking for treasure.

Enjoy a guided tour of a subtropical botanical garden founded in 1929. McKee Botanical Garden sits on an 18-acre subtropical hammock featuring a diverse collection botanical exhibit, art exhibitions. Have lunch at the Garden Café. Then travel 19 miles North on A1A for a stop at the McLarty Treasure Museum located at the North end of Indian River County. Learn about the 1715 Spanish treasure fleet and view artifacts from wreckage of 11 ships laden with gold, silver and rare jewels that sank off the coast near Sebastian Inlet. Treasure is still washing on shore 300 years later.

The tour leaves out of Kiwanis Island Park at 8:00 AM and we will return to Kiwanis Island Park by 5:00 PM.
