Let's show our neighborhood some love!
Every year we pick an area in Harpers Ferry & Bolivar, and come together as a community to make it trash-free.
This year we have our eye on a piece of trail that has long needed our attention. We'll announce the area soon. For now, get this on your calendar!
What can you bring?
- Work gloves for yourself
- Shoes or boots that will protect your feet from glass
- Heavy duty trash bags (we'll provide some, too)
- A truck to move trash bags if you have one
- Your neighbors!
We're asking several municipalities if we can put the trash in their dumpsters. We may also ask volunteers to take home a bag or two if you can.
Kids are welcome to join us, and this is a great way to teach respect for the outdoors. But remember, old trash can be sharp and rusty, and there is a lot of glass in this area, so please use caution.
This event is weather dependent and may be cancelled on short notice.
