Do you have an exotic pet that you are no longer able to care for?
Don't release it into the wild! Instead, you can surrender it at J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue's Exotic Pet Surrender Event on May 17th between 12 PM and 3 PM at the T.B. Scott Free Library located at 106 W. First St., Merrill, WI 54452.
🐠🦗 What we're accepting: Fish, invertebrates, reptiles, pet birds, small mammals, and plants—no questions asked.
Ensure your pet's safety by bringing them in a secure container.
🚫 What we're not accepting: Domestic pets like dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, and chickens. If you have domestic animals, inquire with local shelters or rescues for rehoming options.

• Surrender your pets in a safe, judgment free environment
• Meet animal ambassadors and learn about their stories.
• Capture memories at our photobooth with rescued pets!
In some areas, rehoming options for exotic animals are limited, and releasing them is harmful to both the animal and the environment. We're here to provide a compassionate alternative.
After a brief quarantine period, all surrendered animals will be available for adoption.
