Northcrest Baptist Church will celebrate a milestone in its vision to serve the next generation with a ground breaking ceremony for a new 20,000-square-foot youth facility on Sunday, October 5, immediately following the 10:30AM worship service (approximately 11:45AM).
The new facility, designed by LPK Architects and located on the former Dixie Bowl Lanes site on North Hills Street, is expected to be completed in 12–14 months. It will serve junior high and high school students across the community with spaces designed for worship, study, fellowship, and outreach.
Key features include:
- A 200-seat worship center
- Six classrooms for Bible study and small groups
- A game room and kitchen
- A flexible multi-purpose space for dining, worship, or events
“This facility is an answered prayer and an investment in the young people of our community,” said Senior Pastor Wade Phillips. “It is a place where students can belong, grow, and discover hope for their future.”
The day’s events begin with two morning worship services at 9:00AM and 10:30AM, during which the church will receive its annual offering dedicated entirely to the building project. The groundbreaking will follow immediately after the second service. The project represents five years of fundraising and two years of planning, underscoring the church’s commitment to serving families and shaping the next generation.
“This new building will open doors to reach more students with the Gospel, help them grow as leaders, and send them out to impact their families, schools, and communities,” said Student Pastor Caleb Monaghan.
Media are invited to attend and cover the event at 3412 North Hills Street.
