LMMC Semi-Annual Membership & Community Meeting

Lawrence Mercer Manufacturers Coalition (LMMC) invites members, educators, workforce partners and community members to its next Semi-Annual Membership & Community Meeting on Tuesday, October 7th at Mercer County Career Center.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 7:30 am for registration, refreshments and networking with the meeting starting promptly at 8:00 and ending at 10:00 am.

We'll feature exciting updates on workforce development initiatives and strategies on attracting youth and job-seekers to the great careers in manufacturing:

• Manufacturing Readiness: A four-week pre-apprenticeship program, sponsored by Butler County Community College, designed by LMMC manufacturing members to prepare individuals for entry-level production roles.
• Talent Factory: A youth initiative that strengthens connections between schools and manufacturers, informs career influencers like parents as well as students and educators about manufacturing careers and gives LMMC manufacturers access to developing talent.

This meeting builds on the success of LMMC’s inaugural gathering in April which celebrated early wins in community involvement while also candidly addressing regional workforce challenges like an aging labor force, population decline and limited career awareness among youth and career influencers.

By attending, you’ll help shape LMMC’s priorities, hear progress updates and contribute to strengthening the future of manufacturing in Lawrence and Mercer counties.
