8th Annual 4 Counties 4 the kids for Erie Shrine Hospital. Last year we raised over $18,000 with all your help!!!
This year the purpose for the run is to help Erie Shrine Hospital to purchase Motion Analysis Camera System. The high-tech movement studies conducted in the motion analysis center are integral to the complex, comprehensive care provided by Shriners Hospitals for the Children/Erie. Motion disorders are often too complex to analyze by simply watching a child move, and video does not provide completely accurate information. Using technology similar to what is used by the video game and film industries, the MAC creates a computer model of a child's movment to better understand the associated mecanics, forces and muscle activity for the purpose of improved treatment.
Due to aging equipment, persistent failures are resulting in an unreliable system and the Erie Shriners Medical Center is fundraising to purchase a new sstate-of-the-art motion capture technology.
All funds received from sponsorships and the Fun Run will help Erie Shrine Hospital purchase this equipment!!
