Award winning author, TEDx speaker, Op Ed columnist and translator, Jacqueline Saper was born in Tehran to a Mizrachi Iranian father and an Ashkenazi British mother. She witnessed the civil unrest of the 1979 Iranian Revolution. She lived in the Islamic Republic for eight years, maturing from a teenager to a mother during its most volatile times, including the Iran-Iraq war.

Fluent in Farsi and English, she draws from personal experience to speak on Iranian history and politics, women’s rights, religious freedom, and the immigrant experience, bringing a human voice to political headlines.
