Come celebrate the final chapter of Bruce's Bat Story!
Not long ago, when MLB legend Kenny Lofton made an appearance at Tommy Boy’s in Mentor, OH, a man named Bruce, a local elderly veteran, walked in with a mission. He brought with him a prized possession: a 1995 Cleveland Indians bat that he had spent decades collecting autographs on.
Bruce proudly shared that he was down to just two missing signatures from completing the entire team — players and coaches. The only names left? Orel Hershiser and Tony Peña.
At that moment, our team at Just In Time Staffing knew we had to help finish the story.
What followed was a journey that took this bat from Cleveland to Las Vegas, then to California, and even all the way to the Dominican Republic — all in pursuit of one goal: helping Bruce finish his collection. And after weeks of effort, coordination, and a whole lot of heart, we did it.
💫 Bruce is now the proud owner of a fully signed 1995 Cleveland Indians team bat — a dream fulfilled, and a piece of baseball history preserved.
We are honored to have played a part in this incredible moment and now, we want to share it with you.
Join us on Thursday, July 31st at 6 PM at Tommy Boy’s in Mentor as Kenny Lofton himself presents Bruce with his fully completed bat.
💥 This will be a once-in-a-lifetime moment filled with gratitude, community, and celebration.
A huge thank you to Kenny Lofton and Tommy Boy’s for helping us make this dream come true.
