Jelly Roll Plays Morton Voyage à la naissance du Jazz

Helga Plankensteiner, qui a travaillé plusieurs années avec le Big Band de Carla Bley, consacre son répertoire à l’inventeur du Jazz, Jelly Roll Morton.
Les arrangements pour une formation originale de trois instruments à vent de registre grave : sax baryton, clarinette basse et tuba, révèlent des aspects surprenants de ce compositeur de génie. La vue, depuis la pointe du Cap-Martin, sur les lumières de la baie de Menton, promet un moment suspendu.
