Unlock your power, creativity, and flexibility - and reignite purpose in your life - through a six-week workshop guided by Carrie Garcia. Carrie uses yogic traditions and Julia Cameron’s book, The Artist’s Way, to support you in developing skills to listen to your inner voice, establish a consistent yoga practice, and connect with your creativity.
You will establish a weekly asana practice that builds strength and stamina through challenging and relaxing postures and breath work. You will develop a holistic approach for self-care and empowerment using Cameron’s book, her techniques, Carrie’s guidance, personal reflection, and a tribe of supportive people who hold a sacred space for self-discovery. Experience what it is like to have fun and engage in activities that promote creativity through activity!
Students need to buy The Artist's Way book before the series begins and bring a notebook and pen to every class. No reading is required before the first class.

Carrie has been a yoga teacher since 2013 and is an ordained Soto Zen Buddhist priest. She shares her passion for yoga, Zen Buddhism, and mindfulness with both adults and youth to reduce racism, bullying, isolation, and anxiety while fostering compassion, connection, and well-being. Carrie discovered The Artist’s Way in 2012 and found it profoundly helpful in moving her life forward and reconnecting with her creative flow. Inspired by the transformation it offered, she combined the practices of yoga, mindfulness, and Julia Cameron’s techniques to create this unique series designed to help others unlock their creativity, cultivate self-care, and rediscover their purpose.
