Peregrin is thrilled to announce our first in-person artisan showcase at the shop. Please join us in welcoming Akhtar Mir of House of Mirs, visiting from Srinagar, Kashmir, India. Srinagar was recently recognized as a World Craft City by the World Craft Council.
Mir is the artist behind some of our most beloved pieces, including papier-mâché objects and embroidered wool pillows. His true specialty, however, is hand-embroidered superfine cashmere stoles, scarves, and shawls.
During the event, Mir will demonstrate his embroidery work live in the shop. We will also have a curated collection of his cashmere pieces available for purchase.
To mark the occasion, we’re partnering with two local favorites. Curry House of Franklin will offer a complimentary selection of flavorful bites, including samosas and other savory treats. Serenitea will be serving their signature chai, rich with warm spices and perfect for sipping as you explore the work on view.
