Memphis Merit Academy Upper School Groundbreaking

Memphis Merit Academy, the first charter school in the Parkway Village community, opened in the fall of 2019 with 113 kindergarten scholars. In 2025, we are educating 500+ scholars in kindergarten through 7th grade, providing high-quality education and support in an otherwise underserved neighborhood in Memphis, Tennessee.

Continuing our slow growth model of adding one grade level each year, MMA will be educating 595+ scholars in grades K-8th grade by 2026. We are on the cusp of completing out founding grade bands, K-8, in the coming year.

To accommodate our growing population, we are breaking ground on our NEW wing of our building! This new wing will accommodate 10 new classrooms, new student restrooms, and an ADA Accessible restroom.
