The course is to give attendees the ability to provide instruction in the disciplines of standing air rifle and air pistol at club level. The course is suited to those with experience as a regular shooter, Instructor, or coach.
The course is led by:
• Chrissy Monksummers, NSRA Regional Coach, ISSF Coach
• Terry Metcalfe, NSRA County Coach.
This course will cover Law, Governance, equipment choices, safety, baseline setup, shooting skills / techniques, build instructor techniques and an understanding of variations to instruct both juniors and adults as needed by the athlete.
To be certificated on successful completion of the course, students must be individual members of the NSRA, or current members of the Scout Association and hold a current NSRA RCO or YPST.
Those who are not members of either scouting and / or the NSRA, or do not hold a current RCO or YPST qualification may complete the course and received a “Basic Techniques Certificate” which may subsequently be upgraded as and when the necessary membership / RCO or YPST qualification is in place.
Participants are required to bring their own airgun (rifle or pistol), ammunition, and related equipment to the course, it is for the participant to ensure the equipment and its transportation meets legal requirements. If you do not have these then you must notify us at least two weeks prior to the training commencement.

The course fee of £175
You must be over 18 years old to do this course. Tea and coffee will be available. Please bring your own food. No accommodation is provided with the course.
