About the musicians
Alex Cumming & Audrey Jaber are a dynamic duo bringing high-energy music to the dance floor with a mix of English, Celtic, and American roots. Accordionist and singer Alex Cumming is known for his rhythmic drive and infectious enthusiasm, while fiddler Audrey Jaber adds fiery melodies and groove from her deep experience in both folk and contra dance scenes. Together, they create an irresistible sound perfect for a full day of dancing.
About the callers
Bernie is a dance teacher and caller based in Cheshire, UK, with a passion for Playford dances and modern choreographies in the Playford style. Renowned for her clear and engaging calling style, Bernie aims to help all dancers perform to the best of their ability by encouraging good technique, timing, and teamwork.
Liam is a dedicated and seasoned folk dance caller and choreographer who specialises in English and Scottish traditions. With a wealth of previous teaching experience, he brings a uniquely effective and engaging style of folk dance calling to the floor. Having worked with diverse groups of learners, from beginners to seasoned dancers, Liam has honed his ability to convey instructions with clarity and patience, ensuring that everyone feels empowered to participate and enjoy the dances.
Throughout the day, Bernie and Liam will lead a series of workshops tailored for experienced dancers, culminating in a relaxed and sociable tea dance to wrap up the event.

About the venue
Victoria Hall is located right in the centre of Oakham town, so there is no dedicated parking. However, there are several public car parks and street parking nearby, and all of this is free and unlimited on Sundays.
It is an upstairs venue, but there is a lift if you should need to use it. The stairs are nice and shallow.
PS – It has a sprung floor!!
